General Description

The project consisted of consulting and developing the first phase of the RUESS computer platform, a centralized system for managing public servers. The implementation was carried out with PHP and MySQL, under an open-code approach, prioritizing efficiency, security, and scalability. Technical Scope The initial phase covered the design, development, and implementation of essential modules: Database Design: Relational schema in MySQL, optimized for personnel data. Normalization, indexing, and use of views for performance and consistency. Stored procedures and functions to encapsulate business logic. Database-level security with user, role, and privilege management. System Architecture: MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture with a PHP framework for modularity. Responsive user interface (UI) with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Functional Modules (First Phase): Public Server Registration: Capture and validation of personal, academic, and employment data. User and Role Management: Role-based authentication and authorization system, with secure password storage (hash and salting). Basic Query and Reporting: Advanced search, filtering, and exportable report generation functionalities (CSV, PDF). Security and Performance: Prevention of vulnerabilities (SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF) and secure session management. Optimization of queries and page loading. Implementation of audit logs for operation tracking. The choice of open-source technologies guaranteed a cost-effective and flexible implementation, laying the foundations for future expansions of the RUESS.
