SUPERVISION, QUALITY CONTROL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WORKS IN THE LAS JAGÜITAS MACRO-SECTOR, POTABLE WATER AND SANITARY SEWERAGE NETWORK IN THE LUIS A. VELÁSQUEZ NEIGHBORHOOD, MANAGUA

General Description

The project consisted of technical supervision and quality control of the construction of works aimed at improving the service and increasing the coverage of drinking water and sanitary sewage, condominium-type, in an area with growing needs for basic infrastructure. The intervention comprehensively covered the capture, conduction, storage, and feeding system, from the source to the distribution network, incorporating efficiency, safety, and sustainability criteria. Supervised Components: Preliminary works Supply and installation of 4,533 meters of impulse and conduction pipelines Construction of 2 steel storage tanks on soil, with a capacity of 1,000 m³ each Construction of 2 new fully equipped wells Re-equipment of 1 existing well and rehabilitation of its electrical installations Connections to existing distribution networks Mitigation measures, accident prevention, final cleaning, and delivery of the works. Likewise, a Social Development and Training component was executed, aimed at empowering the beneficiaries of the system, promoting the proper use, care of the facilities, and community ownership of the service. This project significantly contributed to improving the quality of life of the attended population, guaranteeing access to basic services in a secure, continuous, and efficient manner.
