SUPERVISION, QUALITY CONTROL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WORKS IN THE TICUANTEPE MACRO-SECTOR, POTABLE WATER AND SANITARY SEWERAGE NETWORK IN THE AMANDA AGUILAR NEIGHBORHOOD, MANAGUA
General Description
The project comprised the Supervision and Quality Control in the execution of the Works for the Service and Expansion of the coverage of Potable Water and Sanitary Sewerage of Condominal type, aimed at the integral improvement of the system of capture, conduction, storage and distribution of the water resource. The supervised activities included: i) Execution of preliminary works; ii) Supply and installation of 6,490 linear meters of pipes for impulsion and conduction; iii) Construction of a metal storage tank on soil with a capacity of 800 m³; iv) Re-equipment of two operating capture wells, including the rehabilitation of their associated electrical systems; v) Implementation and start-up of a fully equipped relay station; vi) Installation of 250 new household connections; vii) Technical couplings to the existing distribution network; and viii) Execution of environmental mitigation measures, labor risk prevention, general cleaning of the intervention area and final delivery of the works. During the quality control stage, the strict compliance with technical specifications, national regulations and construction standards was verified in each of the constructive processes. Laboratory tests and functional tests were carried out in the hydraulic installations, guaranteeing their operability, efficiency and durability. Likewise, the constructive procedures used were evaluated, ensuring that the works were executed in accordance with the established schedules and with certified materials. In parallel, the Social Development and Training component was developed, aimed at strengthening the capacities of the direct beneficiaries of the project. This component contemplated the realization of informative workshops and technical training sessions on the use, maintenance and preservation of potable water and sanitary sewerage systems. The active participation of the community ensured the appropriation of the project and its long-term sustainability.

El proyecto comprendió la Supervisión y Control de Calidad en la ejecución de las Obras para el Servicio y Ampliación de la cobertura de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado Sanitario de tipo Condominal, orientadas al mejoramiento integral del sistema de captación, conducción, almacenamiento y distribución del recurso hídrico. Las actividades supervisadas incluyeron: i) Ejecución de obras preliminares; ii) Suministro e instalación de 6.490 metros lineales de tuberías para impulsión y conducción; iii) Construcción de un tanque metálico de almacenamiento sobre suelo con capacidad de 800 m³; iv) Reequipamiento de dos pozos de captación en operación, incluyendo la rehabilitación de sus sistemas eléctricos asociados; v) Implementación y puesta en marcha de una estación de relevo completamente equipada; vi) Instalación de 250 nuevas conexiones domiciliarias; vii) Acoples técnicos a la red de distribución existente; y viii) Ejecución de medidas de mitigación ambiental, prevención de riesgos laborales, limpieza general del área de intervención y entrega final de las obras. Durante la etapa de control de calidad, se verificó el cumplimiento estricto de las especificaciones técnicas, normativas nacionales y estándares de construcción en cada uno de los procesos constructivos. Se llevaron a cabo ensayos de laboratorio y pruebas de funcionamiento en las instalaciones hidráulicas, garantizando su operatividad, eficiencia y durabilidad. Asimismo, se evaluaron los procedimientos constructivos empleados, asegurando que las obras fueran ejecutadas conforme a los cronogramas establecidos y con materiales certificados. Paralelamente, se desarrolló el componente de Desarrollo Social y Capacitación, orientado a fortalecer las capacidades de los beneficiarios directos del proyecto. Este componente contempló la realización de talleres informativos y sesiones de capacitación técnica sobre el uso, mantenimiento y preservación de los sistemas de agua potable y alcantarillado sanitario. La participación activa de la comunidad aseguró la apropiación del proyecto y su sostenibilidad a largo plazo.
