TOPOGRAPHIC, GEOTECHNICAL AND RESISTIVITY STUDIES OF SOIL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SATELLITE REGASIFICATION STATIONS (ESR)
General Description
This project executed the basic and detailed engineering through crucial technical studies for the safe planning and design of Satellite Regasification Stations (ESR). These analyses guarantee technical, constructive, and operational viability, mitigating geological risks and ensuring the integrity of the LNG infrastructure. Studies were conducted for 14 new Satellite Regasification Stations in the populations: Yucumo, Palos Blancos, Batallas, Quime, Colquiri, Poopó, Porco, Culpina, Pasorapa, Valle Grande, San Pedro, San Ramon, San Javier, Concepción. Areas of Technical Analysis Topographic Studies: Objective: Collect accurate terrain data to generate digital elevation models (MDE), contour lines, and detailed topographic plans. Methodology: Use of electronic total stations (ETE), differential GPS (RTK/PPK), and occasionally LiDAR. Analysis: Identification of geomorphology, slopes, water bodies, and accesses, optimizing civil design and earthwork volumes. Geotechnical Studies: Objective: Determine the physical-mechanical properties of the soil and subsoil for foundation design. Methodology: SPT soundings, drilling, and test pits in the field; laboratory tests (Atterberg limits, granulometry, shear strength, consolidation) to characterize strata. Analysis: Evaluation of allowable load capacity, settlements, liquefaction potential, and slope stability. Recommendation of foundations (shallow or deep) for cryogenic tanks and equipment. Ground Resistivity Studies: Objective: Measure the apparent electrical resistivity of the subsoil to design grounding systems (SPAT) and protection against atmospheric discharges. Methodology: Wenner method with resistivimeters to determine resistivity by layers at different depths. Analysis: Interpretation of data to calculate the resistance of the earth mesh according to standards (IEEE Std 80, NFPA 70/NEC), protecting equipment and personnel. These studies provide the essential basic engineering for the safe and efficient construction of ESR, strengthening the regional energy infrastructure with safety, efficiency, and sustainability criteria.

ESTUDIOS TOPOGRÁFICOS, GEOTÉCNICOS Y RESISTIVIDAD DE TERRENOS PARA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE ESTACIONES SATELITALES DE REGASIFICACIÓN (ESR)

KRETCO S.R.L.
