SUPERVISION, QUALITY CONTROL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WORKS IN THE TICUANTEPE MACRO-SECTOR, POTABLE WATER AND SANITARY SEWERAGE NETWORK IN THE PABLO UBEDA NEIGHBORHOOD, MANAGUA
General Description
The project included the Supervision and Quality Control in the execution of works aimed at providing and expanding the Potable Water and Sanitary Sewer service of the Condominal type, through the optimization of the integral system of capture, conduction, storage, and distribution of the water resource. The supervised activities included: i) Execution of preliminary works; ii) Supply and installation of 8,800 linear meters of pipes for pumping and conduction; iii) Construction of a metal tank on soil with a capacity of 800 m³; iv) Re-equipment of two existing wells, in operation, as well as the integral rehabilitation of their electrical systems; v) Installation and commissioning of a fully equipped relay station; vi) Execution of 200 new household connections; vii) Technical couplings to existing distribution networks; and viii) Application of environmental mitigation measures, prevention of labor risks, cleaning of the intervention area, and formal delivery of the works. During the supervision process, a rigorous control of the quality of the materials used and the construction procedures was carried out, ensuring compliance with the technical specifications established in the project design. The inspection activities included laboratory tests, hydraulic pressure tests, and verification of the functionality of each component of the system, with the objective of guaranteeing the operability, efficiency, and durability of the installations. Complementarily, the Social Development and Training component was implemented, aimed at the direct beneficiaries of the project. This component contemplated activities of sensitization, capacity strengthening, and technical training for the proper use and maintenance of the potable water and sanitary sewer networks. Community participation was actively promoted, consolidating the sustainability of the system through social appropriation of the same.

El proyecto comprendió la Supervisión y Control de Calidad en la ejecución de obras destinadas a la prestación y ampliación del servicio de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado Sanitario de tipo Condominal, mediante la optimización del sistema integral de captación, conducción, almacenamiento y distribución del recurso hídrico. Las actividades supervisadas incluyeron: i) Ejecución de obras preliminares; ii) Suministro e instalación de 8.800 metros lineales de tuberías para impulsión y conducción; iii) Construcción de un tanque metálico sobre suelo con capacidad de 800 m³; iv) Reequipamiento de dos pozos existentes, en funcionamiento, así como la rehabilitación integral de sus sistemas eléctricos; v) Instalación y puesta en operación de una estación de relevo completamente equipada; vi) Ejecución de 200 nuevas conexiones domiciliarias; vii) Acoples técnicos a las redes de distribución existentes; y viii) Aplicación de medidas de mitigación ambiental, prevención de riesgos laborales, limpieza del área de intervención y entrega formal de las obras. Durante el proceso de supervisión, se llevó a cabo un control riguroso de la calidad de los materiales utilizados y de los procedimientos constructivos, asegurando el cumplimiento de las especificaciones técnicas establecidas en el diseño del proyecto. Las actividades de inspección incluyeron ensayos de laboratorio, pruebas de presión hidráulica y verificación de funcionalidad de cada componente del sistema, con el objetivo de garantizar la operatividad, eficiencia y durabilidad de las instalaciones. Complementariamente, se implementó el componente de Desarrollo Social y Capacitación, dirigido a los beneficiarios directos del proyecto. Este componente contempló actividades de sensibilización, fortalecimiento de capacidades y formación técnica para el uso adecuado y mantenimiento de las redes de agua potable y alcantarillado sanitario. La participación comunitaria fue promovida activamente, consolidando la sostenibilidad del sistema a través de la apropiación social del mismo.
